  Banners   In 1974, Howard Rose, who at that time was a recent college Art grad who was unemployed and      
  Building Directories   unable to find employment as an Art teacher, Rose decided to take things into his own hands and

use his talents in another way and started Howard Rose Art Sign.  Operating out of his mobile

  Carved home (in those days called trailers), with a van, paint, paint brushes and sculpting tools he
  Changeable Copy began a business that became a leading sign maker for local businesses and individuals.  He
  Channel Letters   offered silk screening, painting and hand carving as parts of his services.      
  Metal   Today, sign making has gone high tech with computer generated graphics and state of the      
  Monument   art mechanized sign carving.  Letters Signs and Specialties offers a full line of sign      
  Sandblasted   making capabilities that include:

  Wood   On May 26th, 2011, there was a changing of the guard for Howard Rose Art sign, Rose      
  Yard   sold the business and all its assets to Mark Sherman and the business took the name      
    of Rose's old business name, Letters Signs & Specialties (LS & S).  At one time there were      


  two locations for LS & S, one in the Canal View Mall in Fulton and one at West 2nd Street      
  Brochures   in Oswego until Rose shut down those locations and operated solely out of his home office.      
  Business Cards          
  Envelopes & Letterhead   Sherman had to shut down business operations from May until late September, placing all      
  Large Posters   the equipment and supplies in storage while the new office was being built out.  Now the      
  Life Size Cutouts   business is once again open at its new home, the former Laqua Chevrolet building on 481      
  Post Cards   in Fulton, just south of Cole Muffler at 810 South 4th Street (AKA 481), Fulton.      
  Stickers / Decals          
  Trading Cards   LS & S wants to reacquaint the business with past customers to once again become a      
      premier sign shop for Central New York.
